Rebuilt Kasthamandap in traditional way : Experts

The historical Kasthamandap
temple, which known as Maru Sattal in
Newari, should be reconstructed in traditional style for its architectural beauty,
the experts said in Kathmandu on Tuesday.
The temple was completely
destroyed by devastated earthquake on April 25. When government officials are
busy on making a budget, civil society from Kathmandu were gathered near to
devastated are of Hanumandhoka Durbar Square in capital.
The participants from
different sectors like cultural experts, historians, archaeologist and some
government officials were there to discuss how to rebuild the traditional temple.
The program which called 'Rebuilding
the Kasthamandap Campaign 2015' also warns the officials to build it as a earthquake
resistant.
'We have to rebuild it with
the some inputs from modern technique as well. But in the name of rebuilding
the Kasthmandap, do not miss the traditional mechanism,' said Birendra Bhakta
Shrestha, the local heritage lover from Kathmandu who also chairs the campaign,
at the same program.
'In the rebuild process, the Kathmanduities are much encouraged to participate,' he added.
