Shut-down affects daily life in Nepal
KATHMANDU, MARCH 7- The nationwide strike called by Federal Democratic Fornt led by Madhesi Janadhika Forum suffers normal life of Kathmandu a capital and all over the Nepal on Thursday. Due to CPN-Maoist's nationwide shutdown a daily activities of country unaccustomed yesterday as well.
The preparations of the major political parties to form a Chief Justice (CJ)-led election government was unconstitutional says strikers. Educational school, industries and offices are closed. Ambulance, press, security personnel and tourists vehicles were seen plying on the roads.
One of the strike organizers, Rastriya Madhes Samajbadi Party, has said that more than three dozen cadres of the party were arrested from Baneshwar, Koteshwar and Kamalpokhari while they were staging a peaceful protest.
Meanwhile, Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) has reported that the banda enforcers have vandalised a vehicle (Ba 9 Cha 2933) of Mountain Television at Bijuli Bazaar in the Capital. The Front activists had smashed windowpanes of the vehicle ferrying journalists with stone this morning, said TV Reporter Khila Karki.
Strikers vandalized press vehicle blonging Republica/Nagarik dailies in Lahan, mid-Tarai today morning. They attacked the Tata Mobile van (Ko 1 Cha 5928) and smashed its window panes at Mirchiya of the dristic at around 8 am when the vehile was headed for Janakpur carrying the newspapers.
