Ncell supports 22 bikes and 11 computers to Nepal Police

KATHMANDU, MAY 22 - Ncell, a leading mobile service provider company of Nepal, handed over 22 security bikes to Nepal Police and Traffic Police on Wednesday.
A program held in Kathmandu Ncell CEO Osman Turan handed over 20 bikes and 11 computers to Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kuber Shing Rana to support security agencies to strengthen their capacity to deliver better services to the people on time.
Under the support, pledged under corporate social responsibility, Ncell gifted 20 motorcycles and safety helmets to Nepal Police and Traffic Police in Kathmandu Valley. Likewise, the company provided 11 computer sets to Traffic Police in order to facilitate it to deal with growing traffic problems and road accidents.
These computers would be used to disseminate information on traffic situations in different parts of the Kathmandu Valley. Ncell also handed over 11,000-traffic band to Traffic Police for distribution to pedestrians walking during night hours. The traffic band is prepared from fluorescent material and wearing it would help the vehicle drivers see the pedestrians, thereby preventing possible accidents.
“We believe this support will help the security agencies to enhance their services to the people, enabling general public to get crucial services more promptly. We request the security agencies to make the best use of these equipments, so that people could feel qualitative changes in services they provide,” After handed over the equipments Ncell CEO Osman said at program.

Inspector General of Nepal Police Kuber Singh Rana thanked Ncell for the support. “It will strengthen our capacity to take rapid actions,” he said. He stressed on the need to make more use of technology to ensure law and order and assured that the support provided by Ncell would be best utilized to control crime, provide rapid services, manage traffic and address road accidents.
